A good hour away from Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich, the Kaiser Mountains are located in the east of the province of Tyrol. The massif of the Wilder Kaiser stretches roughly between St. Johann i. T. and Kufstein, and the four imperial villages of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll are located on its sunny side.
